I have deep Oaxacan roots, so, I offer a special rate for weddings and elopements in Oaxaca, Mexico.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS OR SESSIONS?

I shot my first wedding in 2008 (on film, dang I feel old!). In the fall of 2019, I launched Joy and Light Photography with the goal of serving couples navigate through their wedding journey with joy and ease. 

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?

For weddings and elopements, you'll receive sneak peeks within 3 business days. With the completed gallery delivered in 8-12 weeks. All other sessions have a 2-4 week turnaround time.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR GALLERY?

For a typical 8 hour wedding, I deliver a minimum of 500 images. A 4 hour elopement, minimum of 200 images. For 1 hour sessions, a minimum of 30 images. 

HOW MANY IMAGES ARE INCLUDED?

No, I won't. 

My post production is a HUGE part of my work. It's half of the end result I will deliver. You will only receive high resolution edited files. 

DO YOU GIVE OUT RAW (UNEDITED) IMAGE FILES?

Absolutely! My photography journey started in film. For couples interested in slowing things down a bit to document intentional moments. 35mm film photography is available as an add-on. 

DO YOU OFFER FILM PHOTOGRAPHY?

No. My focus is on capturing clients genuinely. I will not manipulate bodies or photoshop backgrounds onto your images. If that is what you're looking for, I am probably not the best fit for you.

WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP US?

Wedding image collections start at $3500 for 8 hours of coverage. Collections of 8 to 12 hours of coverage are available. Included in all collections: wedding planning guide, timeline assistance, print release, online gallery delivery in 8-12 weeks, back up of images from 1-10 years. Complimentary engagement session with select collections.

Add-ons available: Second shooter, rehearsal dinner, wedding weekend experience, 35mm film coverage.

Elopement and Micro Wedding collections start at  $1500  for 2 hours of coverage. 30 people or less.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO INVEST?

If your destination is 30-90 miles from my home (Zip Code 72703), travel fees of $1/mile will be added. If more than 90 miles outside of 72703, mileage, airfare, 1-2 nights lodging, or other travel necessities that pertains to getting to the destination will be added as necessary.  

All will be booked by me and added to your invoice. 

WHAT ARE YOUR TRAVEL FEES?

I do not offer videography. However, I work with a wide variety of talented videographers in the US and Oaxaca, Mexico. If you’d like my assistance in finding a videographer, let me know, I’d be happy to help!

DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY? 

I’m always down to help! Once you sign your contract, I will empower you with my wedding guide - chock full of helpful tips, tricks, and a listing of my most trusted vendors. I’ll be more than happy to help you find the perfect vendors, organize your timeline, and support you in anyway that I can!

DO YOU HELP IN THE PLANNING PROCESS?

Yes, I am fluent in both Spanish and English.

 I have deep Oaxacan roots, most of my extended family resides in Oaxaca City and Ayoquezco. You will find me there several times a year enjoying some quality time with my grandmother under the mango trees.

All travel fees waived to destination events in Oaxaca City and the surrounding central valley.
